# SV Academy

> A Young Founders Bootcamp where students in grades P6–M3 design, build, and ship a real AI-powered web app in 5 weeks, mentored by Silicon Valley engineers. Limited to 10 students per cohort. No coding experience required.

## About

SV Academy is a hands-on coding and product bootcamp for young students in Thailand. Each 5-week program runs on Saturdays and culminates in a live demo day where students present their finished apps to parents — just like real startup founders. The program is taught by engineers who have worked at Amazon, Google, and Facebook.

## Program Structure

- **Duration:** 5 weeks, 5 Saturday sessions
- **Cohort size:** Maximum 10 students
- **Target age:** Grades P6 through M3 (approximately ages 11–15)
- **Prerequisites:** None — no coding experience needed
- **Format:** In-person, hands-on

- **Dates:** June 13 – July 11, 2026, every Saturday

## What Students Build

Each student designs and ships their own AI-powered web app using the same production-grade tools used by real startups: NextJS, NestJS, TypeScript, Postgres, PostHog analytics, and Sentry error tracking.

## Curriculum Overview

1. **Day 1 — The Blueprint:** AI tools orientation, product thinking, writing a PRD (Product Requirements Document)
2. **Day 2 — Debug & Polish:** Hands-on coding, local preview, bug fixing, deploying to Vercel
3. **Day 3 — Ship & Observe:** Peer feedback sessions, using real analytics data from PostHog
4. **Day 4 — Feature Sprint:** Data-driven feature development, presentation preparation
5. **Day 5 — The Keynote:** Live demo day, student presentations to parents, feedback and certificates

- **March (Krairat Mairin):** Former Amazon engineer; founder of SV Academy; organized the Thai Silicon Valley community in the US
- **Charlie (Pisuraj):** Former Google and Facebook engineer; co-founder of SV Academy
