Privacy & Cookies
This policy explains what information SV Academy (Silicon Valley Academy) collects, why, how we protect it, and the choices and rights you have. We keep it plain and we collect as little as we can.

1. Who we are
SV Academy (“Silicon Valley Academy”, “we”, “us”) is the brand of บริษัท ซิลิคอน วัลเลย์ อินโนเวชั่น จำกัด (SILICON VALLEY INNOVATION CO., LTD.), tax ID 0105569146015, registered at 1199/234 ถนนสุขุมวิท แขวงคลองตันเหนือ เขตวัฒนา กรุงเทพมหานคร 10110. The company is the data controller for the personal data described here. We run two tracks: a Junior Cohort for students aged 10 to 15, who build a real, AI-powered web app over five sessions and whose sign-ups are completed by a parent or guardian, and an adult program for entrepreneurs and business owners, who enrol and sign for themselves. This policy covers both. Section 5 applies to the Junior Cohort and section 6 to adult participants. You can reach us using the details in the Contact section.
2. What we collect
Information you give us
- Waitlist & Cohort 2 sign-up. The parent or guardian's name, email address, phone number, LINE ID, your city, the age range of your child, and whether you opt in to receive updates.
- Demo Day RSVP. Your name and contact details so we can confirm your seat.
- Contact form. If you send an enquiry through our contact page, we receive your name, email address, your phone number or LINE ID if you include them, the topic you choose, and your message — used only to reply to you.
- Day 0 Builder Studio. The app ideas, one-line descriptions, and sketches a student enters while planning their project, so we can help them build it during the program.
- Messages. If you contact us by email, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, or LINE, we receive whatever you choose to send.
Information collected automatically
- Cookieless analytics. If you accept analytics in our cookie banner, we use Vercel Web Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookieless tool, to understand aggregate traffic — for example which pages are visited, general device/browser type, and approximate country. It does not set cookies, does not build advertising profiles, and does not identify you personally. It does not run unless you accept it.
- Essential local storage. We store your theme (light/dark), language (EN/TH), and your cookie choice in your browser's local storage so the site remembers your settings. This is not used for tracking.
3. How we use it
- To respond to and manage waitlist sign-ups and Demo Day RSVPs.
- To run, support, and improve the program (including the Day 0 Builder Studio).
- To send you updates about future cohorts and SV Academy news — only if you opted in.
- To operate, secure, and improve this website.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
4. Legal bases (Thailand PDPA)
We rely on: your consent (for example, joining the waitlist, opting into updates, or accepting analytics); the necessity of taking steps you request and providing the program; and our legitimate interests in running and improving SV Academy, balanced against your rights. You can withdraw consent at any time (see Your rights).
5. Children's privacy (Junior Cohort)
SV Academy is for students aged 10–15, but sign-ups are completed by a parent or guardian, and the contact details we collect are the parent's or guardian's. A child should use the Day 0 Builder Studio with a parent's or guardian's permission. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from a child without parental involvement.
Building in public. During the program we may publish photos, videos, and student work on our website and social channels. We do this only with the parent's or guardian's consent, and you can withdraw that consent at any time by contacting us — we will stop using the material going forward and remove it from channels we control where reasonably possible.
6. Adult participants (Entrepreneurs & Business Owners)
Enrolment and billing. If you enrol in our program for entrepreneurs and business owners, we collect your full name, email address, phone number or LINE ID, the business or organisation you represent, what you want to build, and the payment details we need to issue your documents. Where a company pays for your seat, we also process that company's name, registered address and tax ID so we can put them on the invoice and receipt.
Recording and photography during the program. The online Day 0 session may be recorded for internal use only. The three teaching days are not recorded for distribution. Demo Day is filmed and photographed, with judges and invited guests present. You can opt out: we will not film you, we will not use your image, and we will seat you outside the camera line. We cannot police other attendees' own phones. Participants may not record or photograph other participants or their screens without permission.
What you sign before Day 1. Every adult participant signs the Terms of Enrollment, the Rules & Code of Conduct, and a PDPA notice through a personal link to /agreement that we send you directly. That form carries one required acknowledgement, that we process your data to administer your enrolment, which rests on our contract with you and not on consent, plus four separate optional consents: internal use of photos and video, publication of photos and video in our marketing, use of your name and your project in our portfolio, and use of a testimonial from you. Each is ticked on its own, and the Demo Day opt-out above is recorded there too. Declining any or all of the optional items has no effect on your enrolment, your seat, or how we treat you on the course. You can withdraw any consent at any time (see Your rights).
Billing records are kept by law. Invoices, receipts and the accounting records behind them are kept for at least five years, because Thai accounting and tax law requires it. That obligation does not depend on consent, so those records stay even after you withdraw a consent or ask us to delete other data.
7. Cookies & local storage
This site does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. What we use:
- Essential (always on). Local storage for your theme, language, and cookie choice. These are required for the site to work the way you set it and are not tracking.
- Analytics (optional, off until you accept). Vercel Web Analytics — cookieless and aggregate, as described above. It loads only after you tap Accept.
You can change your choice at any time using Cookie settings in the footer of any page.
8. Sharing & service providers
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with providers that process it on our behalf so we can run SV Academy:
- Railway — database hosting, where waitlist, RSVP, Day 0 inputs, and contact enquiries are stored.
- Formspree — email delivery: when you join the waitlist or send a contact enquiry, a copy is emailed to us through Formspree so we can reply quickly.
- Vercel — website hosting and the cookieless analytics described above.
- Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, LINE — if you contact us or interact with us there, those platforms process your data under their own policies.
Some of these providers may store or process data outside Thailand, including in the United States. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your data remains protected.
9. How long we keep it
We keep waitlist and RSVP information for as long as we need it to manage our cohorts and — if you opted in — to send updates, until you ask us to delete it or withdraw consent. Day 0 inputs are kept to support the program. Aggregate analytics are not tied to you as an individual.
10. Your rights
Under Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), you have the right to access your data; to correct it; to delete it; to withdraw consent; to object to or restrict certain processing; to data portability; and to lodge a complaint with Thailand's Personal Data Protection Committee (PDPC). To exercise any of these, contact us below. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing we carried out lawfully beforehand. You can unsubscribe from updates at any time.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “last updated” date above, and we will flag any significant change on the site.
